This fall 2026, Microcosmos in Sugamo will welcome “Neiroza,” a new music program for young children.
Before the regular classes begin, we are holding a free trial session of our Kinder Violin Ensemble for children in the 2026 school year’s Kindergarten Senior and Junior classes (ages 4–6).
This class is about more than simply learning to play the violin.
Children will sing lovely songs from around the world in different languages, explore rhythm and musical notation, and experience the joy of making music together with friends.
Rather than simply “learning music,” children will sing, listen, play, and move, experiencing the joy of music with their whole bodies.
No previous violin experience is required!
Our experienced instructor, with over 10 years of teaching experience and an international background, provides fun and engaging lessons while supporting each child at their own pace.

What Is the Kinder Violin Ensemble?
Kinder Violin Ensemble is a group music class for children ages 4–6, scheduled to launch in fall 2026.
Through violin playing, singing, rhythm activities, and music theory, children will explore the fundamentals of music in a fun and engaging way.
The class includes:
- Basic violin skills
- Songs from around the world
- Singing in different languages
- Reading musical notation
- Rhythm and musical awareness
- Solfège
- Playing music together as an ensemble
Playing music with others gives children opportunities to develop active listening skills, a sense of rhythm, musical expression, and cooperation while experiencing the joy of creating music together.
This class is especially suited for families who:
- Would like their child to try an instrument in a fun and relaxed environment
- Are looking for a violin class for young children
- Want their child to enjoy singing and rhythm as well as playing an instrument

Can my child join even if they have never played the violin before?
Absolutely! Beginners are very welcome.
Violins will be provided free of charge during the trial session.
What age group is the class for?
The Kinder Violin Ensemble is designed for children ages 4–6, corresponding to the Junior and Senior Kindergarten levels in the 2026 school year.
Does my child need to attend Microcosmos to join?
No. Children who do not attend Microcosmos are also welcome to participate.
