The Summer School that started on July 22nd has already reached its halfway point!
From 2-year-olds to 5th graders, many children have joined us, and we’re enjoying a fun and exciting Summer School that’s quite different from our usual routine.

The theme for the first week was “Under the Sea.”
In the Kinder class, the children learned vocabulary related to sea creatures through songs, dances, and art. Every day, they enjoyed sea-themed games and crafts. Saying things like “I want yellow!” or “I want this shell!”, they made ocean-inspired candles, painted on canvases, and created shark masks to dance with.

In the Elementary class, students learned about marine ecosystems. They were divided into groups and created posters about how to protect the ocean environment.

The theme for the second week was “Nature and Camping.”
Just like in the first week, the Kinder class learned vocabulary related to nature and camping. They made essential camping items like hats, binoculars, and lanterns. They also prepared their own Trail Mix—a popular hiking snack—by filling Ziploc bags with their chosen ingredients. On the final day, they set up a campsite using mats to build a tent and enjoyed a pretend camping experience at school.

In the Elementary class, many of the students were scheduled to attend an actual Summer Camp starting that weekend, so they took a more hands-on approach to learning about camping. They made the T-shirts they would wear at camp using tie-dye, and even printed a logo on them using a technique called silk screening!

After about a two-week summer break, Summer School will continue with Weeks 3 and 4, featuring different themes and activities!
