With the refreshing autumn breeze, we held our much-anticipated Sports Day at Minna no Park in Nishi-Gahara, Kita Ward! The children’s excited faces and the supportive smiles of the parents filled the park from the early morning.
After warming up with stretches, the event kicked off with an adorable dance performance by the Caterpillar (2-year-olds) and Bumblebee (3-year-olds) classes. The children danced with all their might, receiving warm applause from the audience. Next, the Caterpillar class took on the Obstacle Race, carrying balls with determination and delighting everyone with their efforts.
Afterward, all the classes participated in various group competitions, including the Flipping Cards Match (a game where each team turns cards to show their team color) and the Baton Relay. The relay, in particular, showcased the results of their practice, as each child passed the baton with teamwork shining through. Parents cheered them on, and the children’s determined faces and smiles made for the day’s highlight.
Another favorite of the day was the parent-child competitions. Running together, laughing, and sometimes out of breath, parents and children reached the finish line with persistence and shared many touching moments.
Finally, the Ladybug (4-year-olds) and Butterfly (5-year-olds) classes performed their dance, showcasing the results of all their hard work in front of their friends and families.
At the closing ceremony, each child received a medal, and everyone celebrated their accomplishments together!
